A replacement quote should identify what is coming off, what is being retained and how the new surface will be supported. EPDM or another suitable system must be considered with the deck, falls, perimeter and adjoining walls, rather than selected by material name alone.

Understand the cost and disruption

Only if assessment shows the existing construction is suitable for the proposed system. An overlay should not be assumed where layers are wet, loose or inadequately supported.

Will you replace the deck?
