A Glasgow roof enquiry might concern one house or several owners beneath a shared roof. Tell us which applies.
On a tenement, the factor or nominated owners’ contact can help provide earlier reports and arrange access; on a detached house, the priority may be a garage or extension below the working area. Before work is instructed, the roof section and authority to proceed need to be clear. A photograph of a top-floor stain does not establish responsibility for the defect or show every common roof detail. We describe the proposed inspection and working boundary so the next discussion is based on the building’s actual arrangement. Our local service pages distinguish a slate or lead repair from complete re-roofing and from work on flat coverings, parapets or outlets. That makes it easier to choose relevant information without assuming every Glasgow property needs the same specification. Genuine company photographs are shown without assigning unverified Glasgow job locations.
What we do
We repair leaks and storm damage, replace worn roofs, install flat roofing, and fix gutters, chimneys and leadwork. Choose the job below for more detail.

Glasgow roof repairs can involve high tenement slate slopes and shared lead details as well as ordinary tiled homes. Height, street access, neighbouring property and shared ownership can affect the repair plan.

Loose slate or chimney material on a Glasgow tenement can create risk at street level, while active leaks may affect more than one flat. Keep clear below and arrange safe check without accessing the roof.

A Glasgow re-roof may need to preserve a traditional slate appearance, coordinate a shared tenement job or renew a tiled suburban roof. Conservation, access and owner approval may also need considered.

Glasgow's flat roofs range from domestic extensions to tenement gutters and modern roof sections. Raised wall edges, outlets, parapets and openings need careful detailing in prolonged wind-driven rain.

High-level gutters, cast-iron sections and shared rainwater routes are common on older Glasgow buildings. Domestic uPVC systems on later homes present different joint, bracket and capacity issues.

Glasgow's stone tenements and villas often have multiple stacks, cans, skew joins and broad lead details. Safe access and the condition of adjacent slate are central to the repair details.

Water marks, slipped slates, loose ridges, overflowing gutters and damp around chimneys all need checked. Do not climb onto the roof—send a safe photo or call us.

A water mark can mean rain has passed a slate or tile, underlay or sarking before tracking to the ceiling. It needs checked soon because continued wetting can damage plaster and hidden timber.

A slipped slate or broken tile leaves the underlay and sarking more exposed to wind-driven rain. Arrange a repair before the gap widens or neighbouring coverings loosen.

Cracked ridge mortar or a loose verge can let wind and rain work into exposed roof edges. It should be checked promptly, especially if pieces are moving or could fall.

Overflow usually points to moss, leaves, a blocked outlet or a gutter that no longer falls correctly. Do not ignore repeated overflow because it can soak fascia boards, masonry and the roof edge.

Damp beside a chimney often involves failed lead flashing, soakers, pointing or the surrounding slates. It needs checked before more water reaches the chimney breast or roof timbers.

Repair or replace?
