Roof coating FAQs

Roof Coating Questions and Answers

These answers explain common questions before you request a quote.

Can you see a roofing problem?● Send us a photo
Will roof coating stop a leak?+

A coating should not be used to hide or bridge an unresolved roof problem. Leaks and damaged details need proper finding the cause and repair.

Can every tiled roof be coated?+

No. Tile material, surface condition, previous treatments, age and roof integrity all affect suitability.

Does the roof need cleaned first?+

Suitable preparation is essential, but the method must not damage the tile surface or force water beneath the covering.

Can natural slate be coated?+

Natural slate should not be treated like a concrete tiled roof. A coating may be inappropriate and should not be assumed suitable.
